Happy 6th Birthday Gavin!

A friend of mine's son turned 6 today! We did his 1/2hour mini shoot for his birthday at Willis Tucker Park. I love this one:

I had a good time, and thank you Jennie & Gavin for the shoot today, I'm glad we missed the rain!

Cheers!

::Danny & Ann:: Engagement Shoot :: Port Gamble, Edmonds Ferry & Kitsap Memorial Park, WA ::

In case you don't see the resemblance between me and this handsome soon to be married man; this is my older brother, Danny with his beautiful blushing ::almost:: bride, Ann.

They have so much fun together, and have been together longer than myself and my own husband; and finally are getting married.

They invited me along on a ride over to check out a wedding venue (where I get to shoot their wedding on September 11th, 2011 ::insert huge smile here::)

We took the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry and did a little shooting on the ferry.

We stopped in Port Gamble (because I forgot to hit the post office on this side of the little pond) and amazingly enough; there was a HUGE rainbow going from one side of the Port to the other, and we did lots of photos with it in the back. Many of them look fake!

The ring needed a beautiful rainbow shot also:

Ann had picked out a beautiful location for the wedding and reception; Kitsap Memorial Park. There is a large log hall for an indoor reception; that opens to sweeping views of Hood Canal (I think) and a gorgeous state park where the kids can play on a playground, adults can play volleyball and there are cabins onsite where people can bunk up after a long afternoon of partying.

Shinagawa Family Holiday Shoot

What a beautiful Family I photographed this morning in Lake Stevens! Rachel and I have been friends for a few years now, and I know she's been looking forward to our shoot, I have as well!

Her boys are great kids and did fabulous this morning running around the neighborhood for me.

Isn't 'baby' Noah precious?

This photo was one we talked about doing after Rachel saw the Dabbs Family Shoot; and wanted to try. I think it is a winner!
Happy Holidays, and I hope you all have a wonderful Halloween. Be safe tonight with the kids out and about.
I still have open blocks for Holiday Photo Specials! The cost is only $75 and you recieve a High Resolution Disc, with all of your images for you to print and use for holiday cards, framing and gifts. You own the rights to use any photos I take during the shoot for any use you please (other than competitions or publications).

Family Shoot:: Dabbs Family

First off, I have to say: I had SOOOOO much fun with these guys! The kids are a hoot, and Jess & Jim are both such genuine and nice people.

I have known Jess just over a year or so, and when our babies were little (Knox and Viv) the joke was that they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Thats right, Knox was about 3 weeks and Viv had to have been 5 or 6 weeks... they were stuck together. Then it clicked. Brangelina (that's right, I said it.) have their twins, and they are Knox & Vivienne also. I didn't know Jess until after our babes were born, so it wasn't some sick joke either. Just luck.
They have an amazing house in a rural little town near me, and I've been dying to go up and see it, but haven't gotten a chance to. I pulled in and thought I was at a castle! Their place is just beautiful!

We did a few shots in the house, but the kids were just dying to go outside. When we did, they showed me their chickens! Mcnugget (the rooster) was sort of a jerk, but all the hens let the kids hold them, and just hung out!

Over the course of the year that I've known her, I've been lucky enough to meet the whole family. Her husband, Jim is a caring dad-- and it shows everytime I saw him with the kids. All four of the kids, Alec, Carter, Elle & Viv have diamond personalities, but are the biggest lovers.

We did the shoot at their house, so the kids could play and everyone was comfortable. Without any studio experience, but mom experience I can't imagine a toddler would be all that happy to 'sit down, shut up and smile.' right?

When we tried for a brief few minutes to do things 'our' way... this is the look that Viv gave us, and we continued our morning... going about her business, not ours.

All the kids were just great for me-- which made it easy to do such a fabulous shoot!

Towards the end of our session, I know that it was a little stressful because the kids were all just 'done' with photos and had bigger fish to fry (like talking mom and dad into going to see 'The Last Airbender' and catch bullfrogs.

Thank you so much Dabbs Family for letting me capture the day with your family! I had a blast with you guys!

Enjoy!
